SubjectSouthport, Connecticut
DescriptionPhotographer: Edward, Clinton or Eugene Hall. Note found with glass plate negative: "The ruins of the first tenement built on the corner of Main & Center Streets, S'port. Also burned was the first building on the right hand side going up Center St. They were store buildings; the only rented rooms (tenement) were in the brick building on Center which was burned. This picture was taken from Main St; Center St is to the left and the old Pequot School is on the right farther up Main St.
