DescriptionPhotographer: Edward, Clinton or Eugene Hall. Note found with glass plate negative: "The Beachside Inn on the waterfront in Greens Farms." This summer hotel was located on Beachside Ave, Greens Farms, just west of Frost Point. See photos #461-464. _Chronicle_ 28 May 1894: "Smith & Winchester, [in charge of] sinking an artesian well at Phipp's hotel, Beachside, have brought suit against Mrs. Mary A Phipps to recover the amount of the claim. The well proved unsatisfactory and the claim was made...no money should be paid. An attachment was placed on the property some time ago...case...on trial at Bridgeport....Proprietor Phipps hopes to have an abundance of water at the Beachside this summer, and is having a huge reservoir constructed for that purpose. A big three masted schooner lay at anchor off Phipps point during last week's storm but rode it off safely." _Chronicle_ 21 June 1894: "James H Phipps has made application for the usual summer license for Beachside Inn...."
